Cinematic Look In Photography

  • August 11, 2018 - August 12, 2018
    6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Most likely, you have seen a photo that made you want to scream “OMG, it looks like a frame from a movie!”. Quite possible, you even screamed. But why? What does this “it looks like a frame from a movie” mean, anyway? What is the difference between the photographic and cinematic looks? What does make a picture movie-like, and how does it differ from “regular” photography? At last, why is it that the cinematic picture is better, or is it?

Not only we will discuss all these questions, but we also will figure out how and what to do to attain this elusive cinematic look. You will learn how the light, composition, and optical properties of lenses contribute to the look. Expect a noticeable improvement in the visual appeal of your images after attending this workshop.

This workshop is for intermediate to advanced audience. Basic knowledge of exposure, color, and composition is a huge plus.
